Windows 7 Still Has Issues PDF Print E-mail

While some of these are pure opinion as to if they are actually "issues" that need fixed, some of them are pretty valid issues that need to be resolved. eWeek has posted what they feel are 10 issues that Microsoft still has to resolve with Windows 7 or the next edition of Windows.

Windows 7 is a vast improvement over Windows Vista. Some might even say Windows 7 is what Vista should have been from the beginning. It has an improved task bar. It features a host of new security features that have helped reduce exploits. And Windows XP Mode has helped address some of the compatibility issues that arose when Vista first hit store shelves.

This one I find really weird. If they have these applications natively installed, many people call foul, and they get sued for anti-competitive practice. So, what is it people? Do you want these applications included or don't you? Microsoft was nearly forced (well, they were, but then the EU backed out of that one) to remove Internet Explorer as it was considered "anti-competitive". WTF? Really....

When users first boot up Windows 7, they'll find that some native applications like Windows Mail and Windows Media Center need to be downloaded in order to be used. Once they do so, they'll unfortunately find barely updated versions of the same software that was running on Vista. Mac OS X users will be especially disappointed, since they're accustomed to Apple's superior counterparts on that company's operating system. Get to work on the native applications, Microsoft.
