Windows Desktop: 17120

For those in the Windows 10 Fast Ring Insider group, Build 17120 has just been released. Again, no known issues (aside from a small Windows Mixed Reality issues). Again, not a whole lot of changes as we are approaching the release of the new update (which some are calling the Spring Creators Update, but aside from hints and mentions, no official word yet).

General changes, improvements, and fixes for PC

  • When a process in Task Manager is suspended, or has suspended child processes, you’ll now see an icon indicating as much in the Status column of the Processes tab.
  • We fixed an issue resulting in the UAC dialog potentially not rendering correctly in the last few flights.
  • We fixed an issue resulting in OneNote crashing when using touch to drag and drop elements in recent flights.
  • We fixed an issue resulting in the touch keyboard crashing when focus was moved to certain password fields.
  • We’ve improved the performance of Bluetooth mice when the system is under load.
  • We fixed an issue resulting in the Amharic keyboard not working in Win32 apps.

Known issues

  • There are currently no known issues for this flight (beyond the Windows Mixed Reality issues mentioned above) however if any issues are discovered based off Insider feedback, we’ll add them here.

ATTENTION IS ANY ONE ELSE GROWING TIRED OF THE TIME REQIRED AT THESE BUILDS AND LOOSING VALUABLE CONSTRUCTIVE NEEDED WORK TIME BECAUSE OF ALL OF THE ERRORS AND FAILED BUILDS. (TOTAL WIPE OUTS). Here is the deal. I have heard that 15063 has been scraped. Reverting back to previous build. I have now had 3 unsuccessful downloads of 15063 attempted by Microsoft. Resulting in a staggering number of PC crashes Closer to 15 + crashes. Thanks to 15063 failed attempts. All attempts at Microsoft updates ended at 67% updated then stalls out (FAILS). Please refrain from hyping any updates anymore. Very few have worked flawlessly. Say maybe, zero, one? You tell me my people. MICROSOFT. Since there are far to many errors to even begin to study them. Only if you have 16 hrs. a day of non stop research. For days on ends. HOW MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE FEEL THAT BEING AN INSIDER IS FAR MORE TIME CONSUMING FOR US AVERAGE 9 to 5 workers. If your 15063 installed flawlessly then good for u. If not then jump on my bandwagon. Seen Windows Insider Preview comments to them and let them know your frustration. IF SO TELL THEM CAL-BOY sent you. Sweet. P.S. I am serious never buy the hype Microsoft has been feeding us INSIDERS. Does that word not reek of HYPE. Seriously.
