Sometimes, you have a touch screen laptop screen or monitor but never use it. For some, it’s fine until you go to move the lid and close out your work or accidentally click something when moving your laptop. Here is a quick way to disable the touch screen.
First open Start and type “Device Manager” (it should show before you complete) and click the icon for Device Manager.

Next, click to expand the Human Interface Devices. Look for a device named “HID-Compliant Touch Screen” (may be named slightly different depending on manufacturer). Right click and select Disable. If there are multiple entries you can disable each of them.

That’s it. Easily disabled and makes it so that the rogue touches don’t affect your work. It’s not super quick to where there is a quick switch to enable/disable if you’re wanting to switch back and forth.
